Tax Professional

Since Jan-2005 I have worked as a tax professional preparing tax returns for both individuals and various entities.  I have also worked year-round assisting taxpayers with taxing authority issues as wells as tax planning.​

Instructor (teaching tax theory and practical application)

​After the next filing season, Jan-2006, that summer I enjoyed the challenge and pleasure of leading my first group of newcomers to the tax preparation profession as their instructor. As they worked hard to understand the theories in the US tax code, I aided their learning using thought provoking classroom discussions that would follow the twisting and turning applicability of the tax code to multiple real life scenarios as well as role-playing to strengthen their ability and confidence to interact and relate with taxpayers.​

Tax Office Leader

​Starting Jan-2009 I took on the Office leadership role while still providing services as a tax professional to my own growing client base. As a leader, I made sure tax laws and regulations were followed and fostered a collaborative team-oriented environment.​

Training Manager

​In the summer of 2020, as a Training Manager, I gained the additional pleasure of monitoring and assisting the entire district's team of tax professionals in their tax knowledge compliance and growth.  I also had the pleasure of training other Tax Professionals interested in becoming instructors or mentors.

Personal Interests

Arts

I have always loved non-verb communication and how artists can express or provoke an emotion visually.

I also enjoy creating my own work of art.  Crafting, of course, is also another of my enjoyable hobbies.
